Distributed Network for 20+ Offices

Challenge

The client with 20+ offices across different locations needed a reliable distributed network with secure VPN access. The existing network was a patchwork of independently configured routers with no centralized management or monitoring, leading to frequent outages and difficult troubleshooting.

Approach

Designed a unified network architecture from the ground up:

• Designed network topology with OSPF/BGP dynamic routing
• Configured MPLS/VPLS for transparent L2 connectivity between sites
• Implemented VRF for traffic segmentation between departments
• Deployed MikroTik routers with standardized configurations across all 20+ sites
• Set up IPSec VPN tunnels for secure inter-office communication
• Documented entire infrastructure in NetBox (IPAM/DCIM)
