Bank Data Center Construction

Challenge

The bank needed its own data center to meet Central Bank regulatory requirements. There was no in-house expertise for data center construction — the existing infrastructure was hosted in rented colocation facilities that could not guarantee the level of control and compliance required by financial regulators.

Approach

Full project lifecycle management from initial specifications to commissioning:

• Developed detailed technical specifications and AutoCAD floor plans
• Designed CLOS (Leaf-Spine) network topology in EVE-NG simulation environment
• Planned hyperconverged infrastructure on Nutanix AHV platform
• Created disaster recovery (DR) plan with secondary site
• Oversaw construction contractors on-site
• Implemented high-availability schemes: HAProxy, PostgreSQL HA clusters, Keepalived

Results

• Data center commissioned on schedule with full regulatory compliance
• High availability ensured for all critical banking services
• All Central Bank regulatory requirements satisfied
• Infrastructure designed for horizontal scaling to accommodate bank's growth
